NOVA NOTE: INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS (SEE PIC #2) 1. REMOVE UPPER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY FROM THE CAR. 2. REMOVE BUSHINGS AND PIVOT SHAFT FROM CONTROL ARM BEING CAREFULE NOT TO DAMAGE CONTROL ARM IN ANY WAY. 3. INSTALL NEW BUSHINGS AND SHAFT SUPPLIED INTO CONTROL ARM, AS SHOWN IN PIC #2. LOOSELY ASSEMBLE RETAINER WASHERS AND LOCK NUTS OR LOCK BOLTS SUPPLIED ONTO BOTH ENDS OF PIVOT SHAFT. ORIENT SHAFT IN CORRECT POSITION FOR MOUNTING TO THE FRAME, EITHER WITH THE OFFSET ON THE WHEEL SIDE FOR MORE POSITIVE CAMBER OF ON THE INBOARD SIDE FOR MORE NEGATIVE CAMBER, AS REQUIRED. DO NOT TIGHTEN LOCK NUTS OR LOCK BOLTS AT THIS TIME. 4. INSTALL UPPER CONTROL ARM ASSEMBLY ON THE CAR WITH ALIGNMENT SHIMS POSITIONED, IF REQUIRED, BETWEEN THE SHAFT AND FRAME ON THEIR RESPECTIVE BOLTS. TORQUE ORIGINAL MOUNTING NUTS TO 55 FOOT POUNDS. INSTALL BALL JOINT STUD INTO STEERING KNUCKLE AND TORQUE SLOTTED NUT TO 50-60 FOOT POUNDS. LOCK WITH COTTER PIN. 5. WITH THE WEIGHT OF THE VEHICLE ON THE WHEELS AT THE CURB HEIGHT POSITION, TIGHTEN PIVOT SHAFT END LOCK NUTS TO 70 FOOT POUNDS OF TORQUE, OT LOCK BOLTS TO 35-45 FOOT POUNDS OF TORQUE. 6. CHECK FRONT-END ALIGNMENT AND ADJUST IF NECESSARY. NOTE: THE PARTS IN THIS KIT ARE DESIGNED TO REPLACE THE WORN OR NON-FUNCTIONING ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT PARTS IN THE VEHICLE AS PRODUCED BY THE CAR FACTORY. THESE PARTS ARE NOT DESIGNED FOR INSTALLATION ON VEHICLES WHERE THE SUSPENSION AND/OR STEERING SYSTEMS HAVE BEEN MODIFIED FOR RACING, COMPETITION, OR ANY OTHER PURPOSE.
